Chagas & Duplant - Complicity

This duo represents a compromise between the more classical side of the 20th century avant-garde music   and the new trends of electroacoustic minimalism.
The work basis is prepared on individual proposals for each of the musicians, while the other one produced its response in a fictional dialogue.
On some tracks it comes a third element - water, fire - with the addition of field recordings.

complicity [kəmˈplɪsɪtɪ]
n pl -ties
1. the fact or condition of being an accomplice, esp in a criminal act
2. a less common word for complexity

The only crime we have commited here is maybe to have played something non common, something with a certain complexity. Thanks so much to my great accomplice, Paulo Chagas and don’t judge us so hard !

(Bruno Duplant)
